Hatha Yoga
Hatha Yoga, (Sanskrit: “Discipline of Force”) is a school of Yoga that stresses mastery of the body as a way of attaining a state of spiritual perfection in which the mind is withdrawn from external objects. Haṭha yoga is a branch of yoga which uses physical techniques to preserve and channel the vital force or energy. The Sanskrit word हठ haṭha literally means "force," thus alluding to a system of physical techniques. Hatha yoga is any style of yoga that focuses on attaining balance through pranayama (breath) and asana (body). It's an umbrella term that contains yoga styles like Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Yin, Iyengar, power yoga, and more.
Ashtanga Yoga
Ashtanga Yoga is an eight-limbed path towards achieving the state of Yoga, also known as Samadhi. The definition of Ashtanga Yoga is found in the Yoga Sutras of Patañjali, an ancient text on the theory and practice of Yoga thought to have been compiled in about 200 CE by Sage Patañjali. Ashtanga yoga focuses on muscle training and develops physical strength. Practicing Ashtanga rejuvenates your body, making it stronger, toned, more flexible and controlled. It includes lots of contortion-esque poses and many of them require core and arm strength.
Kundalini Yoga
